Meet Our Doctors
Sharon Brown, APRN
Sharon Brown, APRN, is a certified family nurse practitioner at UF Health Primary Care – Julington Creek. She has over three decades of clinical experience in treating acute and chronic illnesses. She sees patients ages 18 months and up. Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, women’s health, orthopaedics, dermatology, mental health, gastroenterology, pharmacology, nutrition, immunizations, and travel medicine. Her technical skills in family medicine include clinical histories, physical assessments, triage, and interpretation of labs, EKGs, and X-rays. She served much of her career as an active-duty Army nurse, with experience across a broad range of geographic and cultural backgrounds. She is a strong proponent of patient safety and patient-centered clinical decision-making. Her medical motto is “putting prevention first.” She is excited to bring her same level of clinical expertise, execution, and dedication to the St. Johns community and beyond.
Alissa Laroche, DO
Dr. Alissa Laroche is a family medicine physician who sees adult patients at UF Health Primary Care. She strives to provide high-quality, compassionate care, working with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan.
As someone who loves to share her knowledge, Dr. Laroche has previously volunteered in her community to offer educational workshops on diabetes, high cholesterol and hypertension. She has also traveled to Jamaica on a medical outreach trip, where she performed osteopathic manipulative treatments for conditions such as back pain and headaches.
She earned her degree at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, where she also completed her residency.
