St. Augustine, Fla. August 26, 2021 – Flagler Health + has been named one of five new premier medical care organizations that have joined the Pro Football Hall of Fame Health’s rapidly expanding network of providers, bringing to 17 the number of sites offering services to any former National Football League player or NFL team employee and their families.
“The partners that continue to join us are the best of the best, and we consider ourselves so fortunate to have these premier institutions, health systems, and physician groups – some of the most accomplished in the world – come along side us in our mission as we look to impact lives across the country,” said Jeremy Hogue, CEO of Hall of Fame Health.
Last October, Hall of Fame Health announced 12 “founding partners” in its care network – top-rated hospitals, academic medical centers, physician groups and orthopedic specialists in areas of the country with a high concentration of NFL retirees who can benefit from their services. The announcement of Flagler Health + and the four other providers pulls in additional areas of the country where former players, their spouses and eligible dependents reside.
“It is a tremendous honor to join these other premier health care organizations in partnership with the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” said Jason Barrett, President & CEO of Flagler Health+. “Our Northeast Florida community is the home to many retired NFL players and it is rewarding to be able to provide care for them and their families.”
Joining Flagler Health + in becoming part of the Hall of Fame Health network are NorthShore University HealthSystem, Ohio Health, Proliance Surgeons and Twin Cities Orthopedics.
Flagler Health + is the exclusive partner in Northeast Florida, home to the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, and further aligns its collaboration with Andrews Sports Medicine, an internationally acclaimed sports medicine practice. The two organizations recently announced an agreement to collaborate on development of an orthopedic-focused surgery center to be located on the Flagler Health + campus at Durbin Park. Andrews Sports Medicine is one of the original 12 partners with Hall of Fame Health.
Hall of Fame Health, its network providers and its partners furnish a variety of services, some designed to fill gaps in existing coverage for patients, along with concierge services to help patients navigate the often-challenging landscape of health care. Offerings complement services the NFL provides in the 30 cities where franchises are located.
This announcement of additional providers in the Hall of Fame Health network is the latest development in the partnership the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Sovereign Healthcare formed in January 2020 to develop services and solutions to address the health and wellness needs of former players and their families. Access to top-tier providers across the country was established as a primary goal.
The broad undertaking of Hall of Fame Health will include additional health care services and benefits, innovative new business ventures, partnering with market leaders in various go-to-market strategies, coordinating game-changing research and raising funds for those in need of financial assistance or services.
