Matt Baker Named Chairman of Flagler Hospital Board of Trustees

Flagler Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Baker as Chairman of the Flagler Hospital Board of Trustees. Mr. Baker has served as a Flagler Hospital board member for the past 12 years in various leadership capacities, including past Chairman of the Flagler Health Services Board. Mr. Baker also currently serves as Vice Chair of Coastal Community Health, a regional affiliation between Baptist Health, Flagler Hospital and Southeast Georgia Health System. Coastal Community Health is a highly-integrated hospital network focused on enhancing the quality and value of care provided to our contiguous communities.

"He has a genuine commitment to Flagler Hospital as evidenced in the time, energy and insight he has contributed to us for the past 12 years. We look forward to his leadership in this new capacity."
Mr. Baker brings tremendous leadership and experience to this role. He is the current President of ThompsonBaker, Inc. an independent insurance brokerage, where he has been employed since 1998. He shares Flagler Hospital’s commitment to the community, having served on numerous local boards including Rotary Club of St. Augustine (past President), St. Augustine Historical Society, St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, and City of St. Augustine Planning and Zoning Board (past Chairman). He resides in St. Augustine Beach with his wife Alyson and two children.
Mr. Baker succeeds Mr. Len Tucker as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Tucker has served on the Board of Directors in various capacities since 2002. Mr. Tucker will continue to serve on the Flagler Hospital Board of Trustees as well as the Flagler Health+ Foundation Board.
