an educational guide. Your physician has discussed the information with
you regarding your surgery. This guide is designed to help you further
prepare for surgery by giving you the information you will need to achieve
the best outcome from your joint replacement. We believe that well-prepared
patients achieve the best surgical results. Physical preparation, education,
continuity of care, and pre-planned discharges are essential to creating

UF Health Flagler Hospital provides a free pre-operative education class to help you prepare for your Hip and Knee replacement surgery.
The class is offered Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 am.

This class is taught by members of the hospital's orthopedic team. It is recommended that you bring a friend or family member if possible and that you attend 3-4 weeks prior to your anticipated surgery date. Research shows that patients who attend class and actively participate in their recovery experience the most positive results.

Park in Parking Lot A for the class. Class is held in the 8th Floor lobby classroom of UF Health Flagler Hospital. Take the elevator in the main lobby to the 8th Floor. The classroom is ahead and to the left when you get off of the elevators.
