About this Provider

Dr. Scott Putney specializes in surgery of the hand and upper extremities as well as microvascular surgery. He earned his medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville. He then went on to a fellowship program in hand surgery at the Christine Kleinert Institute at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Dr. Putney and his staff treat patients with diseases and injuries to the hand and upper extremities including the elbow, forearm, wrist and hand. Dr. Putney grew up in Richmond, VA. He is a graduate of Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.He is board certified in both orthopedic surgery as well as hand surgery, an additional qualification with rigorous ongoing standards to ensure that you are getting the highest quality care.
