Richard Owens, APRN, NP-C is a board-certified family practice Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with 15 years of experience as an APRN, preceded by 16 years as a registered nurse in emergency and critical care. Prior to joining UF Health St. Johns, Owens worked as an APRN at Fort Pierce Family Urgent Care in Fort Pierce, Florida. He also held positions in occupational, emergency, and urgent care at various practices and urgent care facilities in Florida.

Owens received a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. He has earned certifications in CPR, pediatric advanced life support, and advanced cardiovascular life support.

Owens strives to enhance positive outcomes for his patients through interdisciplinary collaboration and by combining patient education with his holistic and evidence-based approach to care.
